Few Cities Are Fighting Climate Change Right Now

At the virtual climate summit 2021, President Joe Biden was joined by forty leaders from around the world, during which he announced a new goal for the U.S. The nation will halve its greenhouses gas emissions by 2030. This we hope will inspire other countries to follow the U.S.’s lead in setting more ambitious goals in order to limit global warming to 1.5 degrees Celsius, as set in the 2015 Paris Climate Agreement.

Meeting such a target will undoubtedly require considerable effort from cities around the world, which are uniquely vulnerable to the effects of climate change and therefore face particular urgency to reduce their carbon footprint.

At Peniel Impact, our goal is to augment sustainability enthusiast with data insights as they turn their urban centres into laboratories, implementing measures to cut air pollution and move toward zero-carbon energy.
